The PathHunter ACVR1C/ACVR2 Dimerization cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting receptor-receptor interaction. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. activin B) induced dimerization of ACVR1C/ACVR2 receptors. This product uses EFC technology. The cell line included overexpresses ACVR1C target protein fused to PK alongside ACVR2 target protein fused to EA. Upon ligand-induced dimerization of ACVR1C/ACVR2, detectable EFC signal is produced. HCN-2 is a cortical neuron cell line that was derived from cortical tissue removed from a 7-week-old, female patient undergoing hemispherectomy for intractable seizures associated with Rasmussen's encephalitis. This cell line was deposited by Johns Hopkins University and can be used in neuroscience and toxicology research. This product is an ATCC manufactured and accessioned progeny of ATCC CRL-10742 cited in US Pat. No. 5,196,315.
